Our Mission
Little Roots Academy was created with families in mind. As a Christ-centered hybrid microschool, we provide strength-based, developmentally aligned learning that honors the unique way God created each child to grow and thrive.
Through a blend of virtual learning, project-based education, enrichment programs, and monthly Community Enrichment Days, students engage in meaningful learning experiences rooted in creativity, exploration, connection, and real-world discovery.
With a flexible enrollment structure and a combined virtual and place-based model, we support families seeking a gentler, faith-filled approach to learning that values both education and meaningful family time. Our approach nurtures spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth while protecting the gift of family time—because childhood goes by fast.

Flexible Enrollment Options

Once-a-month Community Days include in-person field trips within the local community, such as museums, farms, and community spaces, aligned with lessons and school values
Meet Our Founder
Dr. Jendayi A. Stafford, Ph.D., is the founder and director of Little Roots Academy. A developmental psychologist, educator, and mother of four, Dr. Stafford founded Little Roots Academy from her belief that children thrive when they feel truly seen, supported, and free to learn in ways that honor how God designed them.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science, three master’s degrees—including Developmental Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapy—and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology. In addition, she is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a Pharmacy Technician, and practices herbalism, allowing her to bring a holistic, whole-child approach to education.
Dr. Stafford is also the founder of Graced for Motherhood (a membership for moms), an international best-selling author, and the creator of multiple wellness and emotional development programs for children and families. She also serves as the Associate Pastor at Full Life Fellowship Ministries.
With a passion for nurturing children’s spiritual, emotional, and academic growth, Dr. Stafford leads Little Roots Academy with the mission to help young learners grow deep roots—in Christ, in confidence, and in their love for learning.

$5,800 per year — Four days of weekly instruction with the option for monthly billing at $580 for 10 months.

Yes. Majority of our coursework at Little Roots Academy is completed virtually. Instruction is delivered online, using research-based curriculum.
However, we also have enrichment classes (on Fridays) in person as well as our optional in-person Community Days held once a month.

Little Roots Academy serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Yes. Little Roots Academy is a Christian, faith-based program. Bible teaching is included within our curriculum, and our school culture is grounded in Christian values.
*It is important to note that we do not discriminate against the acceptance of our students based on their religious beliefs. Families have the option to not have their child participate in the Bible class lessons.
